Notes from May 27 meeting

Next meeting 5:00 pm Friday May 30,  LSC-O student center to decorate

·        61 students have not turned in their contract out of 268

·        Treasury balance is $29,876.01,  we have a $9875 debt due to come in PSG night

Students should be getting about $100 each with those who gave donations early getting $150.

·        Food – we still need bags of candy.  Please donate and deliver to LSC-O either Friday night after 5:00 pm or Saturday after 7:30 pm.

·        Cleanup – please volunteer to help cleanup.  We start at 3:00 am Sunday June 1.

·        Karaoke – we will have a machine there.  If you have Karaoke music CDs to lend please label them and bring them.

·        Cookbooks need to be checked back in through Brigitte Mangham or your student will be charged PSG night.  Profit so far is $3112.

·        Car Show – the Estate planning auction is up to $200 and will end Thursday.

·        Decorating will begin Friday at 5:00 pm, bring decorating supplies.

·        Bricks – We have sold 56 total so far.  Bids are being taken to build the wall.  We may pass it to the next grad class to get the best price.

·        Rossie ran through how PSG night will run and what is organized so far.

·        Games – The first games crew on each game needs to write up instructions on how to run their game.  This should then be passed on to the following crew.  It looks like we will only run games until about 3:15 am in order to give students time to use the restroom and find spaces to watch the hypnotist at 4:00 am.

·        PSG Night highlight DVD – We have a videographer and the DVD will be $20.  We needed to sell at least 25 and 23 of those were sold last night.  If you want one just print the form from the website and mail it in or deliver it PSG night.  The video DVD will be mailed to you.

·        Memory video is done and looks great.  It will be displayed (run) PSG night.

·        Prizes and goody bag gifts have been purchased.  Bags for each student were filled yesterday.  More goodies are coming.  Please contact Rossie if you have anything else to donate.

Project Safe Graduation notes for 05/19/08:

NEXT MEETING CHANGED TO 05/27/08 TUESDAY at 6:30 pm in HS cafeteria

Decorating Schedule change: Due to schoolwork change we will not start decorating until after 4:00 pm (tentative time) on Friday.  We have gotten a green light to stay at LSC-O until we’re done.

Treasury Balance: $31,862.30, all bills are currently paid

Jumpin’ Bean – Coffee bar at PSG 8:30 setup, runs 9:30 –12:30 $978.75 (Coffee will be free, students will get 1 ticket for a Frappe drink, adults can purchase Frappe for $2.75)

Security Guards from Lamar SC-O will be paid to work PSG Night. 

Donations needed:

·        Please send bags of individually wrapped candy to next meeting or deliver PSG night.

·        Bottle water

·        Duck tape

·        Bring your walkie talkies to keep in contact

·        Polaroid cameras to use (not give away) & Polaroid film for pictures

Cookbooks are selling well, please keep selling and contact Brigitte Mangham if you want more.  One more week to sell.

Games Committee needs:

Please contact Lywana on when you can make your Wii, playstations, DDR, Guitar Hero and TV’s available for pickup for PSG night.  We would like to start picking up on Friday May 30 unless you plan to deliver the item by 8:30 pm on Saturday.  Please email Lywana at hannahshelper@hotmail.com to tell her how you will handle the delivery.

Food Committee needs:

They have been getting donations from businesses of pizza, appetizers, hamburgers, drinks, etc.  They are looking for donations of bottled water.  Contact Marci Hinds at Hikoloni@sbcglobal.net if you have a food item to donate.

Have received Several donations from businesses of cash, gift cards, cookers, bags, lawn chairs, a PC, massage, gym time, tans, snow cones tickets, bowling passes, meals, oil change, movies and more is coming.  We still need more.  Please contact Rossie Hughes at rossiedee@yahoo.com if you have something to donate or a contact with a business.

Please contact Lywana or Elizabeth Irving firving@gt.rr.com to sign up to work PSG night.  We have a lot of positions that have not been filled.  We need more adults to man the games to assure our students have a safe graduation night.
